midday illusion 2018
The project that I produced, authored, and modeled for was a thought-provoking exploration of the concept of illusion and its role in our lives. Titled “Midday Illusion”, the project delved into the human desire to escape the banality of everyday life and immerse oneself in a world of fantasy and make-believe.
Through a series of visually stunning photographs and performance art pieces, the project aimed to challenge viewers’ perceptions of what is real and what is not. As the model for the project, I embodied the dual nature of illusion, appearing both as a fantastical creature and as a regular person going about their day.
The idea behind the project was to highlight the often-unconscious ways in which we seek to escape reality through various forms of entertainment, be it books, movies, or social media. The project asked viewers to reflect on their own relationship with illusion and to question whether such fantasies ultimately bring us happiness or merely distract us from the challenges of real life.
As the producer, I oversaw the creative direction of the project, working closely with a team of photographers, makeup artists, and performers to bring the vision to life.
Overall, “Midday Illusion” was a project that aimed to inspire viewers to think deeply about their relationship with illusion and to question the role of fantasy in our lives. As the producer, author, and model, I was thrilled to be a part of such a thought-provoking and impactful work of art.
Re_make 2019
The project that I conceived and modeled for explored the crucial issue of plastic waste and its impact on the environment. As the author of the idea, I sought to raise awareness about the growing problem of plastic pollution and the need to find sustainable solutions to this pressing issue.
Titled “Re_make”, the project aimed to showcase the potential beauty and usefulness of recycled plastic. Through a series of striking photographs, I posed as a model wearing fashion outfits made entirely out of recycled plastic materials.
The project aimed to inspire viewers to reconsider their own relationship with plastic and to think about the possibilities of recycling and repurposing this ubiquitous material. By showcasing the creative potential of recycled plastic, the project aimed to shift the narrative around plastic waste from one of negativity and despair to one of hope and possibility.
Overall, “Re_make” was a project that aimed to challenge viewers to think differently about the role of plastic in our lives and to consider the possibilities of recycling and repurposing this material. As the author of the idea and model for the project, I was thrilled to be a part of such a timely work of art.
